A gift for two: two jumps, one day

A shared experience has one advantage over a shared object: nobody has to store it afterwards. Two jumps on the same day make one memory in two heads, and two films, if each of you takes a filmed variant.

Two vouchers, one order

There is no separate “for couples” product. On the page of the jump you want, you set the number of people to two, and that one order produces two separate vouchers, each with its own code. The discount applies itself, to the whole order, and counts items in the basket rather than people. The ladder below is read straight from the catalogue, so it always shows what the shop actually charges.

• Two people — 3% off.
• 3 or more — 5% off.
• 5 or more — 8% off.

What counts is one order. Two separate orders of one voucher each cost twice the price without the quantity discount. The vouchers in the basket do not have to match, either: one can include filming and the other not, and the discount still covers both.

For you, or for another couple

If you are buying for the two of you, both vouchers come to you in one e-mail, one PDF per code, and you simply pass one on. If it is a present for another couple, friends getting married, say, or your parents on their anniversary, tick “This is a gift” at checkout. Each voucher can then be made out to a different name, and the same line of dedication is printed on both.

You can hand the vouchers over yourself or leave the delivery to us. In that case you give one e-mail address and a date up to 11 months ahead, and a message with both vouchers arrives that morning, with no price and no order number in it. Delivery on a chosen day applies to a paid order.

The same day, one after the other

Dates are booked after purchase, one code at a time, on the booking page. To jump on the same day, pick the same day for both codes.

Each of you jumps in your own tandem with your own instructor, so you leave the aircraft one after the other, not together. Whether you go up on the same lift depends on the day, because the order on the dropzone is set by the weather and how busy it is. Either way, whoever lands first watches the other land from the ground.

Wind too strong or cloud too low on the day means a new date, arranged the same way as the first: one code at a time. Just pick the same day for both again.

One jumps, the other watches

Not every couple wants to jump as a pair, and that is a good plan too. You buy one voucher, and the one who watches books nothing and pays nothing: people coming along can be on the dropzone and watch the take-offs and landings. The discount counts items in the order, so there is none on a single voucher.

From the ground you get a good view of the open canopy coming down for several minutes, and of the landing itself. The exit and the freefall are hard to see from below, which is why filming makes more sense than usual in this arrangement: it is the only way the person on the ground gets to see the rest of the jump.

Weight: the limit is per person

The 100 kg limit applies to each person individually. It is not added up or averaged across a couple, because each of you flies under a different canopy with a different instructor. A big difference in weight between you therefore does not matter: each person's weight is taken into account separately when the instructor and the rig are matched.

The order has a weight field for each person, and it is optional. If you are buying for someone else, leave it empty and we will ask when the date is arranged. If either of you is close to the limit, write to us before buying. The vouchers are made out to the bearer, so the second code can be used by somebody else who meets the age and weight requirements.

A film for each of you

Each recording covers one tandem. The camera flyer exits with one instructor and their passenger and films that one jump, and the hand-held camera is held by the instructor of the person it records. If you both want footage, both vouchers need a filmed variant.

Variants can be mixed in one order. Whoever would rather not be filmed takes the jump on its own, and the other takes the hand-held camera or the camera flyer.

Prices include VAT, equipment, the instructor and the climb to full altitude. There are no extra charges at the dropzone.

The day for two, in order

1. 01You buy two vouchers in one order and pay online, by BLIK, card or a fast bank transfer through Paynow. The PDFs arrive as soon as the payment is confirmed.
2. 02Each of you books a date with your own code, for the same day.
3. 03The exact address of the dropzone comes with the date confirmation, because on a given day jumping may run from a different airfield.
4. 04On site: photo ID, a signature on the declaration and about fifteen minutes of briefing, then the harness and the aircraft. Expect to spend several hours on the dropzone.
5. 05You celebrate after the jump, not before it. Alcohol is out the evening before as well, and anyone under its influence does not jump that day, so the dinner and the toast belong at the end of the day.
