Skydiving in the Tricity

The dropzone sits near Gdańsk, which makes the jump a day out from anywhere in the Tricity rather than a weekend away. From Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot it is a few dozen minutes' drive. You jump in tandem from 4,000 metres, attached to an instructor, and you need to know nothing beforehand.

Living this close changes more than the length of the drive. A date moved by the weather costs you another few dozen minutes on the road, not a second journey, so you can afford to wait for a good day. The AFF course, which spreads over several jumping days, is easier when each of them starts close to home. And a voucher for someone in Gdynia or Sopot asks nobody to plan a trip.

The drive and the address

We send the exact address and directions when your date is confirmed, because on a given day jumping may run from a different airfield. That is one message, not a surprise on arrival. If you are coming back, after a moved date or for the next day of a course, check the address before you set off rather than driving from memory to wherever you went last time.

The jump itself is short, but you will usually spend several hours at the dropzone, because the order of take-offs follows the weather and how busy the day is. Keep the whole day free. A dinner in Sopot booked for 6 pm is exactly the kind of plan that comes apart on a day like this.

The weather outside your window

The dropzone decides on the day whether jumping runs, and the view from a window in Gdynia does not come into it. The dropzone is inland, and the weather over the bay can differ from the weather a few dozen kilometres away: sea fog can sit on the water while the sky over the land is clear. So do not call off a jump yourself because of the sky over Sopot or the forecast.

If the day does not work, you book a new one. From the Tricity that means another short drive rather than a second trip across half the country; with a dropzone several hours away, every moved date is a lost day, as where to skydive in Poland sets out. Season and jumping days

We jump from April to October, at weekends and on selected weekdays.

What it costs

The price covers the equipment, the instructor, the flight to full altitude and the briefing on the ground; nothing is added at the dropzone. The tandem variants differ only in the footage, which is handed over after landing. The full list is on the pricing page.

How to book

1. 01Buy a voucher for the variant you want in the shop and pay online, by BLIK, card or a fast bank transfer.
2. 02As soon as the payment is confirmed, the PDF with your code arrives by e-mail.
3. 03Use the code to book your date on the booking page. The voucher is valid for 12 months, so you do not have to decide now.
4. 04The dropzone's address comes with the confirmation of your date. On the day you arrive with an identity document, do a short briefing, and fly.

A voucher for someone in the Tricity

The voucher is a bearer voucher, valid for 12 months from purchase, and the person who jumps chooses the date. For someone living in Gdańsk, Gdynia or Sopot that makes it a present with no travel and no hotel attached; all it takes is a free day in the season. There is no minimum age, under-18s need written consent from a legal guardian, and the weight limit is 100 kg.

The PDF arrives as soon as the payment is confirmed. You can print it and hand it over, or set a date on which the voucher lands straight in the recipient's inbox, on their birthday for instance. The voucher designs are on the gift voucher page.

Friends, a team, a company

The discount applies itself, to the whole order, and the thresholds count items in the basket. Variants add up, and every voucher in an order can go to a different person, so one of you can buy for everyone.

A company gets an invoice: tick the box at checkout and give its NIP tax number, and we pull the rest from the register. A company outside Poland picks its country, gives its VAT number and types in the address. How many of you can jump on one day depends on how busy that date is, so tell us how many you are and when you want to come. Anyone who is not jumping can come along and watch, free of charge. The AFF course close to home

If one tandem leaves you wanting more, AFF is the course after which you jump on your own. From the first jump you have your own canopy and fly it yourself, while instructors fly alongside and correct your body position. The course costs 6,900 zł and you can start at 16, with written consent from a legal guardian until 18. A tandem beforehand is not required.

The course runs over several jumping days, not necessarily consecutive, and the pace depends on the weather and on your progress. People who come regularly finish sooner than those who leave gaps of several weeks, because after a long break part of each jump goes on remembering what you already knew. The Tricity from above

In good visibility, from 4,000 metres the Tricity is a grey band pressed between forest and bay. Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia merge into one, and you will not pick out your own street or neighbourhood.
