Skydiving in the Tricity

Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot — the dropzone is under an hour from any of them. A tandem jump from 4,000 metres over Pomerania.

The dropzone sits near Gdańsk, which makes this a half-day trip from anywhere in the Tricity rather than a weekend away. You jump in tandem from 4,000 metres, attached to an instructor, and you need to know nothing beforehand.

Getting there

Most people come from the Tricity itself, but the dropzone serves the whole Pomeranian region. We give the exact address and directions when we confirm your date, because on a given day jumping may run from a different airfield. That is one message, not a surprise on arrival.

If you are travelling from further away, set aside the whole day. The order of jumps follows the weather and how busy the manifest is, so the hour moves — the view you came for does not.

What you see from 4,000 metres

On a clear day the Bay of Gdańsk sits on one side with the Hel Peninsula reaching into it, the beaches run away to the other, and inland you get the lakes and forests of Kashubia. For the first sixty seconds or so you are falling at up to 200 km/h and the landscape is only a backdrop. It becomes the point once the canopy opens and everything goes quiet.

How to book

  1. 01Buy a voucher for the variant you want. Payment is by ordinary bank transfer.
  2. 02Once the money clears, the code arrives by e-mail, usually within one business day.
  3. 03Use the code to arrange your date. The voucher is valid for 12 months, so you do not have to decide now.
  4. 04On the day you arrive at the dropzone, do a short briefing, and fly.

The weather on the day always decides. If the wind or the cloud base rule jumping out, we set a new date and the voucher keeps its validity.

Where exactly is the dropzone?

Near Gdańsk. We give the exact airfield when we confirm your date, because on a given day jumping may run from a different one.

How long is the drive from Gdynia or Sopot?

Under an hour. Less from Gdańsk. Do set aside several hours at the dropzone itself — the order of jumps depends on weather and how busy the day is.

Can I jump on the day I arrive?

Yes, if there is a slot on the manifest and the weather allows. Dates are arranged in advance using the code from your voucher.

Can friends come and watch?

Yes. People who are not jumping can be at the dropzone and watch the take-offs and landings, at no cost.
