How much does a skydive cost?

Short answer: a tandem skydive from 4,000 metres costs 1,150 zł with us, and from 1,500 zł with video. That is the complete price — equipment, instructor, the flight to full altitude and the jump.

What you are paying for

The single largest cost is the aircraft. Lifting to 4,000 metres costs what it costs regardless of who is on board. Add tandem equipment on a fixed inspection schedule, a qualified instructor, and the people running the drop zone.

Why video costs more

Filming needs a second skydiver who exits with you and films from outside — another seat on the aircraft and another person working on your jump. That is the gap between 1,150 and 1,500 zł. Adding the instructor's hand-cam brings it to 1,700 zł and gives footage from two angles.

What not to economise on

• Altitude — a lower jump is cheaper, but freefall lasts seconds rather than about a minute.
• Video, if this is a gift or a once-in-a-lifetime jump: the jump itself passes very fast.
• Time — jumping depends on weather, so allow more than a single fixed day.
