Two FAI championship weeks in the US: Lake Elsinore and Eloy take over October
Canopy formation and wingsuit flying come first in California, followed by five disciplines in Arizona in a two-part championship finale.
AI artA large part of the October FAI championship calendar is concentrated at two US drop zones. Lake Elsinore, California, is scheduled to host canopy formation and wingsuit flying from 8 to 14 October. Four days later a broader block begins in Eloy, Arizona.
Lake Elsinore: canopies and wingsuits
The 22nd World Canopy Formation Championships and 6th World Wingsuit Flying Championships share the same event window. They remain very different disciplines, one building judged formations under open canopies and the other comparing wingsuit tasks under its competition rules.
Eloy: five championships at one drop zone
- 27th World Formation Skydiving Championships
- 16th World Artistic Events Championships
- 6th World Speed Skydiving Championships
- 11th World Canopy Piloting Championships
- 5th World Canopy Piloting Freestyle Championships
The Eloy programme runs from 18 to 24 October. A common date and venue do not create one format: each discipline has its own rules, judging panel, operational requirements and result structure.
What we will follow
Results need to be read discipline by discipline rather than as one medal table. Skyluma will add entries, official results and practical event information when FAI and the hosts publish them.
