On Saturday 11 July, the third World Skydiving Day recorded 31,075 skydives across 43 countries. Organisers recognised it as a new mark for the most reported skydives completed in one day.

A margin of 724 jumps

The previous total was 30,351, set in 2024. USPA reported 16.3 per cent growth in participation compared with the earlier record-setting edition. Experienced jumpers and first-time tandem participants both contributed.

What the number measures

The total represents jumps submitted to the initiative rather than a census of every jump worldwide that day. It still provides a rare shared reference point across countries and organisational systems.

The fourth edition is planned for Saturday 10 July 2027, again combining a record attempt with local events for people encountering the sport for the first time.
