Stag do with a skydive

A skydive works on a stag do for one reason: nobody in the group knows how they will react until they are in the door of an aircraft at 4,000 metres. After that comes around 60 seconds of freefall at up to 200 km/h and several quiet minutes under an open canopy. Nobody needs to know anything beforehand. In a tandem the instructor is responsible for the whole jump, and the preparation is a briefing of about fifteen minutes on the ground. The day itself is described in the first-jump guide.

Jump first, party after

Alcohol rules you out of the jump. Anyone under the influence will not be cleared and does not jump that day, so the order of the plan is not a matter of taste: the jump comes first and the party after it.

That includes the night before. The liver clears alcohol at an average of about 0.15 per mille an hour, which is 15 mg per 100 ml of blood, and neither coffee nor a cold shower will hurry it. Someone at 1.5 per mille at one in the morning is still close to 0.5 at eight. So the jump goes on the first day of the weekend and the party on the evening of that same day.

People usually spend several hours at the dropzone, because the order of jumps follows the weather and how busy the day is, and the hour moves. Book the table for the evening, not the afternoon. And eat a normal breakfast: on an empty stomach, dizziness and nausea come more easily.

Season and jumping days

We jump from April to October, at weekends and on selected weekdays.

A stag do in February does not have to go without a jump. The voucher is handed over at the party and the date arranged later, within 12 months of purchase. The wedding is different, because its date cannot move. Weather can close a chosen day, so the jump does not go on the eve of the wedding; leave it enough room to be moved once.

Who jumps and who watches

Not everyone who types “I'm in” in the group chat says the same thing when it is time to pay. People who are not jumping can come to the dropzone, watch the take-offs and landings, and pay nothing. Nobody books anything for them.

With somebody who is wavering there are two ways to go. A voucher bought with the rest counts towards the discount, and if that person does not jump in the end, somebody else can use the code: the voucher is to the bearer, it is the code that counts rather than the name, and the date is booked by whoever is going to jump. A voucher bought later is a separate order and no longer counts towards the group's discount.

One order or everyone separately

The discount counts items in a single order, so who pays changes the price.

• One order for everyone: one person pays once and the discount covers the whole amount. The codes arrive in that person's inbox, each as a separate PDF, and each voucher can carry a different person's name. You settle up between yourselves afterwards.
• Everyone separately: each person pays for themselves and gets their own voucher, but each order is counted on its own. A single voucher gets no group discount.
• Several smaller orders: two orders of three are two lots of three, not six, because thresholds do not add up across orders.

The groom does not have to pay to count. His voucher goes into the same basket as everyone else's and counts towards the threshold like any other.

Group pricing

The discount applies by itself, in the basket, across the whole order, with nothing to ask for and no code. The ladder is written in people, because one person is usually one voucher, but it counts items in the basket whatever the variant.

• Two people — 9% off.
• 3 or more — 10% off.
• 5 or more — 11% off.

An example: the groom with a camera flyer and hand-cam, plus five friends without film, is six items and 7,450 zł before the discount. The discount comes off that whole amount, including the groom's dearer jump.

Film for the group

Footage belongs to a voucher, not to the group. The camera flyer is a separate skydiver who exits with the tandem whose voucher includes filming, and the hand-cam shows one person's face from close up. Anyone who wants footage of their own jump needs a filmed variant; a shot of several of you together in the air is not something we promise.

Variants can differ within one order: the groom filmed and the rest not, or everyone with a hand-cam. The hand-cam catches reactions and the camera flyer the whole jump from the side, and the footage is handed over after landing. Nobody holds anything during the jump, so phones and action cameras stay on the ground with the people watching.

Booking the date

1. 01Agree who is jumping and in which variant.
2. 02Place one order if the discount is to count. Each voucher can carry a different name.
3. 03Once the order is paid, the codes arrive by e-mail, as soon as the payment is confirmed.
4. 04Each code is booked separately on the booking page, saying whether the voucher includes filming. If one day for the whole group matters, write to us before anyone books.
5. 05The address of the dropzone comes with the confirmation of the date, because on a given day jumps may run from a different airfield. Plan the group's transport after that.
6. 06On the day, everyone shows photo ID and signs a declaration that nothing medical rules them out. Then the briefing, the kit and the aircraft.

What we will not promise

The weather. Whether jumping goes ahead is decided at the dropzone on the day, and sometimes the morning is grounded while the afternoon flies. Nor do we promise that the whole group will fit into one day or go up in one aircraft. If the day falls through, the jump gets a new date, and the evening can go ahead without it.
